So August, was hotter then heck here. I seriously thing we had like 50 days over 100 degrees. It was miserable. Here's a little of what we did...

Ok so here goes July.....

I guess first and foremost I had my birthday......the big 29. Not really sure how I feel about being so old now. It's a little scary, but gosh I love my life. I feel like the luckiest person ever to have all the blessings that I have.

I love this little smile. He does a lot of this, he is already so much calmer then Kendall ever was. I really hope it stays like this.

They discovered baths together. And no, Kendall does not really fit in the duck with him, but she is a determined little thing and stuffs herself in there.

Finally ordered another crib for Ryan, Kendall will not give hers up. And he got too big too fast for the baby crib, so he now has a king size crib that he loves.

Ryan started eating solids. He took right to it, and loves it. He's an eater.
More eating, don't mind the pink high chair. What can I say....2nd child.

We had more visits from cousins, the Schmidgals came to visit us.

Happy 4th of July, we got to spend it with good friends and good food. I love this holiday! ANd finally Kendall was old enough to love the fireworks, it was so fun to watch her!

JUNE

So June....came and went fast. Like the rest of the summer it seems. We were lucky enough to find a house to rent here. We really didn't want to have to buy something in a town we knew nothing about, and thank goodness we were able to find something to rent for a while. What a blessing to be in a real house, out of our apartment and have more space and play and enjoy.

Kendall often colors in the buff, i think she feels more artistic that way. And yes, she is wearing Thomas the train underwear ( which happen to only come in boy style), luckily this seems to be phasing out and she now prefers all things princesses, especially her panties.

Kendall loves to paint nails, especially mine. We love having spa days.

We were lucky enough to have cousins visit us, we love playing with Cade and Breck!

Ryan got fat...real quick. He is the best baby, so happy, and just seems to go with the flow all the time. Especially while taking the beatings from his big sister. We love our little guy, he is such a joy to our family.

ANd Kendall has decided that she loves doing pull ups, it is one of her favorite things to do with her dad.
So June in a nut shell.... loved it!!

So, it's only been about 7 months since I've last written. But I have a renewed commitment to keep this up, so here goes nothing. But wow....what a 7 months it has been. Since our last post quite a lot has happened for our little family. I guess first of all, we have moved. We are now living in Texas...back to my roots. We are almost directly in between Dallas and Houston, in a small town named Lufkin. Turns out we had actually driven through here many times going back and forth from Johnson City to Houston, but who knew we would ever be living in this place. But it's been good to us. We moved here at the end of April, just in time for the blazing summer to begin, and let me tell you it was SOOOO HOT!!! Everyone said this this was the hottest summer yet, but really it was terrible. We did a lot of swimming and any indoor activities that we could think of.

I'll try to catch up the last few months the best as possible, so bear with me. So May.... started out with a fabulous mothers day. We even ended up blessing Ryan that Sunday, so what a special day it turned out to be. My family was able to come up, and Lances parents were able to come, so we felt very loved. I think that we doubled the size of our new ward with all our family there, but we loved it.

We went to the hospital on Wednesday night so that we would be ready to start the induction early Thursday morning. Thursday morning (March 24) they started the pitocin around 6:30 am, the Dr came in and broke my water, and the contractions started. It was pretty smooth sailing from there. I started getting pretty miserable so I got an epidural, turns out I was now dialated to a 6. The epidural worked great, and I felt wonderful afterward :) A little while longer and I was ready to go. I pushed for about 20 quick minutes and then we welcomed our sweet new baby boy at 12:21 pm. He came in weighing 7 pounds 15 ozs, and was 19 in long. It was a great very quick labor, I still can't believe it went so fast. We didn't have a name picked out at all till that morning, somehow I thought of Ryan and it seemed to fit. Lance and I both agreed on it, so it just stuck. Dean is after Lance's grandfather who married us. So we have Ryan Dean Beus. He is wonderful, and healthy and we couldn't feel more blessed to have him. Here are some pictures from the big day :)

As I'm putting these pictures on here, the order seems to have gotten all messed up. But I guess you still get the idea :)

Kendall turned 2 on Feb 12. I can't believe how the time has flown by, what a crazy wonderful couple of years it has been. We are so lucky to have our little princess, she makes everyday more wonderful.

She loved opening presents, and she really loved playing in the wrapping paper everything came in.

We had swimming lessons in the morning. She loves swimming!! The only problem is that she really thinks she can do it all by herself, she's not afraid of anything.

We bought her a bunch of balloons, so when we woke up she knew it was her birthday from all the balloons. She thought it was the greatest thing ever.

In other news....I'm still pregnant. Now 35 weeks miserable. Trying to hang on for this last little while, but we are getting very excited for our new little boy to get here. Kendall loves going to the Dr and listening to the heart beat, she gets really excited and talks non stop about our baby. Of course she lifts up her shirt and thinks that she has one too, but I'm glad she's excited.

We are so blessed!!!

I can't believe its already February!!! I mean didn't we just have Thanksgiving?! Honestly, where does the time go?!

Kendall has decided that she loves shoes now, especially ours. She's actually pretty good at walking in heels already.

We have been trying to make Valentines to send out. Kendall has decided that she loves making hearts, so thanks to the cold weather we're still having we've been making lots of them. She has also decided that she loves saying "cheese" when I want to take pictures of her, so this is the face we get alot these days :)

And finally I have taken a belly shot. Oh surprise, if you didn't know, I'm pregnant! Here I am in all my 32 week glory. I feel huge already, and am so ready for March to be here. I feel like this pregnancy has taken extra long this time. Probably cause I was so sick, and now I'm in way more pain then I ever was with Kendall. So I'm counting down the days. It's a boy this time, so we're super excited for Kendall to have a brother and all the new adventures that are sure to come.

We spent Christmas in H0uston, we had a great time being with my whole family. It seems like its been a while since we were all together. But it was great, and Kendall loved being able to play with her cousins. We wish that we lived closer, she asks about them everyday. She got so many toys and things to play with our whole house is being taken over by Kendall and her toys.

Temple

For Christmas we got to go down to Houston, we had a great time, but one of the best things we got to do was go with my family to the temple. Haley was going through for the first time and so we were so lucky to be able to go with her. We are so proud of her, Haley is going to be serving a mission soon. She was called to the El Salvador/Belize mission. She leaves Feb. 23. Although we already miss her, I can't wait to hear about all her adventures and just know she will be the most amazing missionary ever!!!!!

Dollywood

Last year around this time we went to Dollywood, we were suckers and got talked in to getting season passes for 2010. Funny thing about that, we never quite made it back throughout the year. So while there was only a couple of weeks left of 2010 we decided to finally go back and make buying the stupid passes worth it. We had a great time, Kendall was able to go on a bunch of the rides and loved it, which made it all worth it for us. Christmas time is the best time to go to Dollywood because of all the fun decorations and lights that they put up for the season.

And no, we didn't get sucked into buying passes for 2011 :)

Thanksgiving

I have not been doing a stellar job of keeping up with this, or of taking pictures lately. But I blame my huge belly that seems to have taken my brain away too. So I'll try to do some quick updates from all the recent holidays. For Thanksgiving we stayed here at home but were lucky enough to have Lance's parents come for the week. We had a great time with them, and always want to have more visitors (hint, hint). Of course I didn't take many pictures, but one day we went to the zoo and I did remember the camera. So here are a few shots from then.

Kendall loved the zoo, she just loves animals. And she got some new sunglasses for the days, she wouldn't take them off the whole time we were there.

What a fun week we had, we have so much to be thankful for!!

Halloween

I know we're a little late, but I couldn't resist putting up these pictures of our cute little cow. Kendall and I spent the week of Halloween in Houston, and by the time we made it home she was too wiped out to go trick or treating. So we didn't make it out this year, but she sure loved wearing her costume around. There was a food drive around here, and if you brought some cans of food you could get your picture taken professionally by some of the local photographers. It was so great, and we were lucky enough to have one of our friends take Kendalls. She did a great job, and we love the pictures that we got.

Fun

We've been having lots of fun lately. Kendall has discovered a love

for horses, and it seems that she cannot get enough of them. She is growing like a weed, I serio

usly think she gets bigger everyday. Here is a little of what we've been up to lately;

Kendall's grandma sent her a horse in the mail, she LOVES it. The first thing she says when she wakes up is "horsey, horsey", she wants to ride that thing all the time. I also got her halloween costume. She's gonna be a cow. Let the trick or treating begin.

She was so excited she couldn't even wait for us to set it up. Hence, the super cheesy grin.

Turns out even cows can ride horses.

This past weekend we went to the circus. I'm a little sad I've never been to one, because it was really cool. Kendall loved it, there was so much to look at, and so many animals to see. Her favorite part of course was the pony rides that they were giving before it started. She was in heaven on that thing. She kept petting it and saying, "Good boy..." It was pretty cute. When the ride was over she screamed and screamed that she wanted to go again, so of course we had to let her go again.

Europe

Last week we made last minute plans and decided to fly to Europe for the week. It just seemed like a good time to go, and we needed a little time away. Needless to say, we had the best time. We ended up flying to Paris and spending the day there, then took a train to Geneva where we spent most of the week just hanging out and going around with my dad. Here are a few of our pictures from the trip. A little bit of what we did.....

Lake House Reunion

I have been blessed with the very best group of friends from high school. It's amazing that even after ten years its like no time has passed and we are all still the best of friends. We had our 10 year high school reunion last week, so we decided to go up to the lake house and have a mini reunion of our own before the real one. It was so fun to catch up with everyone, and it was so fun because almost everyone was able to come. IT was a great weekend of talking, eating, relaxing and just being together again. I got to bring Kendall with me, so she had her first experience on a boat. She loved it! I think we may be investing in one soon. But here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Lance and I decided to do another marathon. This one was in Provo, Utah. So we decided to go out for the week and go up to Idaho to see Lances family, and then my sister Haley in Utah. It was a lot of traveling in a short amount of time, especially with a sick baby for half of it, but we made it. And we had a great time visiting family and letting Kendall finally meet the cousins on Lances side. Here is some of our trip....

Kendall got very spoiled, and got pushed around in the stroller by her older cousins for most of the time.

Kendall discovered a love for horses, especially this one the bounces. She wanted to play on this all day and night.

We talked Haley and Christian into coming and hanging out with us for most of the time. We were going to a friends wedding reception and Christian forgot clothes, so Lance's grandpa was kind enough to lend him the purple alligator shoes with matching purple tie.

This is all of Lances family, it took forever to get everyone together for a picture. They even got Lances grandparents to come up, so Kendalls great grandparents were all there.

We did a little bit of 4 wheeling while we were there. It was so fun, and so nice to see real mountains again.

Oh, and I marathon went ok. It ended up pouring rain for like the first 10 miles, so we were soaked to the bone and freezing. I think I was shivering the whole time. But we did finish and now have 2 under our belts. Woo, go us! We didn't break any records, but we had a good time. Lets put it like this....never have eye surgery and not be able to run for the 2 weeks before your marathon :) I think for our next event we're gonna do a sprint triathlon in July. Try something different...anyone up for the challenge??

Summer has begun...

Summer has officially started here at our house, in fact Kendall and I go to the pool practically ever day. Kendall just finished swimming lessons, turns out she's pretty much a fish and loves being in the water. Almost a little too much, she is always trying to jump in. But here she is getting ready to go out to the pool.

A little ways from our house they have a strawberry festival, so we went to that a few weeks ago. It was fun, super hot. But we stayed cool with some amazing strawberry short cake, and stayed very entertained trying to count all the mullets we could see.

And a few weeks ago, Lance and I had Lasik eye surgery. I would highly recommend it. The surgery was a little wierd, but so fast it was over before I even knew it. We had to wear these sweet eye shields at night for a week to protect our eyes because we couldn't touch them for a few days. It really wasn't bad at all, and now I am contact free.....woohoo!!!

This is whats been going on lately at our house......

We got a new toy a few months ago, a buggy so Kendall can go on all the bike rides with us. She and Ace both love it.

The Easter Bunny came to our house...it was super fun. Kendall loved playing with her eggs and basket.

Our baby got chicken pox, luckily she had been vaccinated and so she didn't get them very bad. But it was still sick, I can't imagine if she had them really bad. It was a true test of motherhood for me.

Kendall loves bath time, and still has crazy hair!!!

I know, blog overload. But Kendall is sleeping and I am so excited to show off my baby.

So, our poor baby has been blessed with a lot of hair. We have to fix it pretty much everyday or it is in her eyes and just a mess. In fact, I actually have started french braiding it. She is so very stylish with her side braid. But the she is our daughter which means that she is probably destined to have crazy hair. It is the funniest this cause it is just a mess, especially after I take her hair out. And since she has lots of teeth now she has started becoming a fan of brushing them. This is the other night, I couldn't resist to take a picture of our crazy hair baby brushing her teeth.

Kendall and Ace are now BFFs, one of their favorite things is to look out the window and people watch. It was so cute the other day they were doing it together, so I had to document it. Too funny to pass up.

Anyways, I hope this finds everyone happy and wonderful. We feel so blessed everyday, and are so grateful for all the friends and family that we have!!!!

Our sweet princess turned 1 on Feb 12. We had a little party with the Stewarts, it was great. There happened to be a huge snow storm on that day, so we were the only ones there, but it was still great, and the kids loved it. We are so grateful to have our baby in our lives. We feel like the luckiest people ever to have such a sweet girl. She is growing like crazy, still loves attention and talking on the phone. She is starting to walk, and getting braver in her adventures. This year has flown by and been great, I'm excited to see what this next year brings!

Yeah for BFFs

First of all, I finally found my camera cord. Yeah, turns out Lance was cleaning and hid it. So now I have a lot of catching up to do. So a while ago, I had a free weekend from softball for I tricked my bestest buddy to come out and visit me. It was so fun to have her come for the weekend, I forgot how much we laugh when we're together. Poor Lance, he is a good husband for putting up with me :) So while Lindsey was here Lance surprised us and took us to a cabin he rented up in Gaitlinburg. It was awesome, so beautiful and so nice to just relax and eat lots of cookies. We convinced Jeff and Lynn to come too, so it turned into quite the party. However, we were quickly reminded that we are no longer in high school when Kendall started throwing up. We always like to keep things exciting. But although we had a sick baby, it was so great to hang out with good friends.

We had to be creative with Kendall's sleeping arrangements, p.s. hot tubs work great :)

I lost the cord for our camera, so we haven't been able to download a bunch of pictures we have from the past little while. But we have been busier than ever, and enjoying pretty much all of it. Kendall turned 1 about a month ago (i'll put pictures up when i can). But she is so much fun and starting to be quite sassy ( I think she gets it from her father), she's taking a few steps but not walking quite yet. And she and Ace are becoming good friends. She loves riding on the bus and going on softball trips. She LOVES all the attention she gets when she's around the team. Lance is doing great at his job, just super busy. I'm so proud of him. I'm just in the thick of our softball season, we just got back from california. The weather is finally starting to warm up, so it makes my job that much better. We have decided to run the provo canyon marathon in June in Utah. We are excited to run another one, and would love everyone to join us :) Hopefully i'll be able to put up some good pictures here soon. But here's 1 just so you remember what we look like!

So I know it's a little late, but time has been going too fast and we have been enjoying our break far too much. Merry Christmas, hope yours has been as wonderful as ours. We really did it, we ran a marathon!! Woo hoo! We had a great time in Washington, it was a perfect weekend for 26.2 miles. We spent a couple of days seeing the sights and eating good food, then on Sunday we had our race. I'll be honest it was pretty tough, but I'm so glad lance ran with me. It gets pretty boring running that long. Becca ran it too, and we are soo proud of her...she qualified for the Boston marathon. Lance and I were not quite that ambitious, but we finished and we did pretty good for our first time. I think I prefer the half marathons, but I really think that everyone should try to do a whole one at least once :) Here's a few pictures from our trip. I thought I took more, and now that I realize I didn't I'm really mad at myself. But at least we got a few good ones....

I finally had some time to put some new pictures up, I was getting really sick of the old ones. But we haven't really done anything too exciting lately. So I just thought I put up a little update. All is well in Tennessee, I think we have skipped fall and went straight into winter. It has been freezing! We had to hurry out and get Kendall some warm clothes and even had to buy her mittens so she won't freeze to death. We are busy as ever, Lance is working like crazy, and I just finished up my fall season. Oh we have been busy running tons, our marathon is this coming weekend in DC and we are very excited about it. I'm getting sick of training, but I'm super excited to see how it goes. Thats about all with us, hopefully after this weekend we'll have lots of pictures and lots to talk about. I've been trying to take lots of pictures lately. I need to practice so I can actually take a few good pictures instead of thousands of terrible ones. Anyways, here is a little of what we've been up to the past little while.

We were able to go to the temple, we are in the Columbia South Carolina district here. We had never been to the Columbia temple so it was exciting to go to a new one, we usually go to the Atlanta one because Lance has some family there that we can stay with. We convinced Jeff and Lynn to go with us and they were kind enough to go through and then watch Kendall so Lance and I could go through together. It was so wonderful to be able to go! I'm envious of everyone that has a temple closer to them, I wish we could go more often.

It has been raining tons here, its been terrible. I feel like everyday it just gets more and more humid. But the other day I put Kendall in her rain coat and boots and just had to take some pictures. It was too cute. The coat is still a little too big, but the boots are just right and so adorable!

Kendall is all over the place lately. She is rolling and crawling everywhere. It's so fun to watch, but now we really have to keep an eye on her, she gets into everything.

This past weekend I wanted to go look at antiques, so we went down the road to a small town nearby and looked in all the shops. It was fun, but around here they call everything antiques, really most of it is just crappy garage sale stuff. But we went by this river and just had to snap a family picture. Again...practicing the whole picture thing :)

Gosh, time has been flying by. I haven't been able to put any pictures up lately because our laptop is being really annoying and we had to get a new computer. But don't worry, we're up and running again. My baby is now 7 months...my how time flies. At her 6 month checkup she was 16 lbs, and I forget how long, but she was pretty much around the 50th percentile for everything, she's growing like a weed.

We're all doing great, Lance is busy working, and school has started so I'm started to get busy again too. We're having fun and enjoying life. And excited for fall and getting to watch the leaves change color again. Fall is the best time of year here.

Anyways, here's some recent pictures of our little princess....

Kendall and I just got back from our litte 10 day trip to Geneva to visit my Dad and brother Zach (who is there for a summer internship). We had a great time hanging out with them. It was rough for a little while because Kendall and I both got sick and I thought I was going to die. So we did spend quite a bit of time just sleeping in bed, but we survived and still had a great time. Lance has been very busy with his new job, so he couldn't come. We missed him very very much, but we consoled ourselves by eating lots of cheese and chocolate :) Kendall was actually great through the long flights, she slept a lot and we just had lots of quality mother baby bonding time.

Kendall has been straining her neck and working so hard to sit up by herself. She's getting close, but doesn't quit have it down yet. Just wanted to put up some new pictures from the last little while. Time has just been flying by its been hard to keep up. Kendall had her 4 month checkup, it was sad watching her get her shots, but she is growing very well and catching up with her weight. She is now 13 pounds and 25 in long, almost the 50th percentile for both. She is now rolling over lots and starting to laugh, she's starting to be around.

We're all doing well, just very busy. Kendall and I have been having softball camps and recruiting trips, and Lance has started his new job as the Director of the Cardiac and Vascular offices all over the area. He seems to really like, but is now very very busy. But we are so proud of him.

We got a new jogging stroller, Kendall seems to look forward to our runs. And since we are running the Washington DC Marathon in October there is a lot of running to look forward to. But we love our new stroller and if anyone is in the market for a new jogging stroller I would highly recommend it.

Over the holiday weekend we were talked into going camping with some of our friends in Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston is one of our favorite cities, it really is amazing and there is so much to see and do there. But camping reminded me that I don't really like camping, especially when its pouring rain and your tent in leaking, and you keeping feeling rain drops dripping on your head. But anyways, we survived, Kendall actually slept great in the tent. We ended up having a pretty good weekend, but we're definitely taking our tent back.

I know I've done a bunch of posts lately...but gosh we've been busy! Last week we headed back to Florida and went to Disneyworld. We were celebrating Lances graduation and the end of the year, plus Becca and her family were going also so we thought it would be fun. On May 9, Lance GRADUATED!!! Yeah!! He's now a master! We are so proud of him. Unfortunately, Kendall and I were in Florida for our conference tournament so we had to miss the ceremony. Luckily he was able to bring a couple of guests so Kendall and I were able to go and see him win an award. He was selected by the professors in the department to win it. She had her 2 month check up this past week and is now 9 pounds 12 ounces and 22 in long. So although she is small (like the 20th percentile) the doctor said she looks great and healthy and is growing wonderfully.

Lance was able to bless Kendall this past weekend. We were lucky enough to have my mom and dad, as well as Lance's Dad and brother come for the occasion. I have been going back to work and coaching, we have started traveling for our games. So Kendall had her first softball trip to Florida this past weekend. She was a great baby and actually seemed to really like the bus trip. As much as she loves riding in the car, she loved the bus even more and slept a lot. It was great. Our trip was pretty good, we didn't play great and ended up 1-3 for the weekend. But Kendall loved Florida and being in the warm weather. She is growing everyday and we love her so much. Time has been flying and I can't believe its already been 6 weeks that she has been with us.

The other day was so beautiful outside we decided to go on a hike. Turns out very close to our house is Buffalo Mountain, a great place for hiking. So we decided to check it out. We are happy to say that we finally got to go home!! YEAH, I was so sick of staying in the hospital. But Kendall finally got out of the NICU on Sunday evening and got to spend the night with us in our room. It went great and so we got to take her home on Monday. We already love her so much and are so thankful that she is healthy and perfect.

So a little bit of what happened....on Wednesday night my water broke, but I wasn't sure if that's what really happened. So I decided to just wait the night and see what happened. On Thursday morning we decided to go to the hospital to get checked out, I didn't really think that my water had broken so we didn't bring anything with us, I figured we'd be back home in a couple of hours. But at the hospital they did a test and said that my water had in fact broke and that we would be staying to have the baby. They got me all ready, started my IV and pitocin, I got my epidural when I was around a 3 and was lucky enough to not really feel a thing the whole time. Actually I was pretty comfortable the whole day, I pushed for about 45 min and then at 6:20 pm Kendall joined us. I was pretty much in shock the whole day and still am, but am trying to take it all in one day at a time. She had some trouble breathing and so they took her immediately down to the NICU, then they thought she had some reaction to the antibiotics that I had to be on, who know...but she is better now and we feel so blessed that she has joined our family.

It's a girl!! She surprised us and came a little early....KENDALL ANN BEUS was born on Feb 12 at 6:20pm and weighs a whopping 7 lbs. 6.5ozs. She's beautiful and we already love her so much. She's in the NICU still but is getting stronger everyday!! We're doing good, still in shock from it all but trying to savor the moment. It's been crazy but we are thankful to be so blessed! We'll write more soon!!!

35 Weeks

Here is the latest...35 weeks! Woohoo....almost the end!! The Dr. says all is well and everything looks great still, and I asked him how big he thinks it is now and he said according to the measurements it's about 4 pounds. I'm getting VERY uncomfortable and tired of all of the fatness, but I am trying to hang in there. I'm still working and plan on doing so till the baby finally decides to come. We are still not sure of what the sex of the baby is, and probably won't get to find out till it comes. It makes me annoyed, but Lance is happy as he didn't want to find out from the beginning. We're trying to get somewhat ready, but the more we think about it, the more we realize that we are not even close to being ready. And it's crazy to think it's coming so very soon!

In other news...We celebrated our 3rd anniversary this past week. Crazy, it has flown by and we are blessed that it just keeps getting better. Lance is now in his last semester of graduate school, YEAH!! I'm so proud! It's been cold here and we actually had some snow that stayed on the ground for a few days. It was kinda nice but I'm now ready for it to warm up again!

For Christmas this year my family was all meeting down in Houston, so we decided to drive down there and join in all the fun. We actually drove down, a nice 15 hour drive, that could've been shorter had we not gotten lost on the way down there. But we made it and ended up being very glad that we drove our truck because we brought back a lot of goodies with us.

Since we drove we brought Ace, and of it was a little chilly one day so we bought him a vest to try to help him stay warm.

I was done with work and decided that I wasn't needed at my house while Lance and Tate were finishing up school for the semester. So I jumped on the opportunity to go with my mom over to Geneva for a little while and see where they are living now. It was so fun and I had so much fun hanging out with my parents for a while. I hadn't ever been to Geneva, but it was beautiful and I can't wait to go back and visit again.

While I was there we did a little traveling around, I was happy to get a few more stamps in my passport. Here are a few pictures from the trip...

It was a great trip, freezing but great. Hopefully Lance will be able to come next time :) And poor Lance... while I was gone he decided to have surgery on his shoulder. Now before you think I'm the worst wife ever to leave my husband in his time of need, he scheduled this surgery AFTER I was already gone. I asked him to wait, but he thought that was the best time to do it. Luckily Jeff and Lynn, our great neighbors, and Tate were here to help take care of him. But he is doing well, the doctor said everything went great and now he just has to let it heal. He actually had his first rehab therapy session today and things are on track and look to be healing well.

So my pregnancy has been going better lately, and I'm finally into the double digits with how many days I have left and besides the killer backaches and uncomfortable growing stomach, I am actually feeling not too terrible. But this week, I have been a little disappointed because I was running a couple of days ago and my stomach started hurting pretty bad. I had to stop and walk the rest of the way. The same thing happened the next day, so I had to walk some more. Basically, I feel like I have to only walk now. It makes me a little sad, but I was wondering is that normal that around this time to cut back? I feel like its almost too early to only be walking, but I don't want to hurt myself or the baby. I was wondering what everyone else has done, and/or if this is too early (I guess I'm 28 weeks now) to be cutting back a little?

Turkey Trot

This year we kept up one of our newer Thanksgiving traditions, by running the Turkey Trot here in Johnson City. This is our 2nd year doing it, and we actually really enjoy waking up early and getting in a little exercise before we stuff our faces with food. And this year there were even more people that participated, so it was fun to be involved with the whole town. And for being almost 7 months pregnant I was pretty proud of myself for doing it. We were a little slower than last year, but 26 minutes is pretty good for my big ole self :)

We had a great Thanksgiving, we decided to split up the cooking responsibilities and ate with friends again this year. Our Turkey (we cooked) turned out pretty good, or at least the parts that were cooked tasted delicious :) Then after dinner we drove to Atlanta and stayed with some of Lances family down there. It was great to get out of town for a few days and actually go shopping at a real mall. Hope everyones thanksgiving was as wonderful as ours, we have so much to be thankful for and are grateful everyday for all the blessings in our lives!!

We actually had a free day the other weekend and decided to go up to a waterfall and practice taking more pictures with our camera. It turned into a really fun day, there was snow everywhere and we got to hike around the waterfalls and just enjoy a little bit of winter weather. Jeff and Lynn came with us, and Ace loved running around in the snow all day. Good thing he wore his bell necklace to help him stay warm :)

Tate has joined the wrestling team here at his new school, he seems to love it. I don't really understand the point of it, but whatever makes him happy I guess. Weekend Getaway

This past weekend one of Lance's good friends that he played baseball with invited us to Virginia to stay in a huge house and just hang out for the weekend. The drive was about 4 hours, and we ended up going just a little outside of Roanoke but it was well worth it. It is still so pretty here with all the leaves changing, so we actually really enjoyed the drive and just looking around at everything.

The house was huge and was right on the lake so we spent most of our time out on the water in the boats and just relaxing in the sun. I guess I never realized how nice it is to just get away even for a weekend, we came back well fed, and well rested and ready for this week. And I think that we need to take more weekend trips...sorry Lance :)

I was finally able to meet the newest addition to our family, Kacies little baby Cade. This weekend I flew across the country, which turns out to take forever, to Seattle and spent the weekend with Kacie, Adam and Cade. And it was actually really great because my parents were visiting too, so we got to spend some time with them also. It was really fun to have Kacie show us where they have been living for the past year, and gosh how I've missed being in a big city with a real mall to shop in.

And Cade is just adorable. He is such a good baby, sleeps alot, but he's super cute and Kacie is already such a great mom. It makes me nervous to have a kid, but a little excited too. We tried to go baby shopping, but its really annoying when you don't know if it's a boy or girl and all the clothes are blue or pink. I guess our baby will have to just be nude for the first few days till we can actually go out and buy some clothes for it.

We had the opportunity to go with our young men and young women to the corn maze for our activity the other night. I'll be honest, I've always wanted to go to one of these. And the whole time at BYU we always talked about it but never actually made it to one of these. So I was pretty excited to go and check it out. I don't know, maybe it was watching field of dreams too many times, or maybe it was signs. I don't know why, but it's always seemed so exciting to walk around in fields of huge corn, I know...wierd! It was pretty fun, but I was a little disappointed with the whole thing. I mean, it was really cold, and turns out we're really bad at mazes and it took us forever. But I'm really glad I finally got to experience the thrill of being in a corn maze.

It went really good, all the body parts (arms, legs, hands, feet, brain, kidneys...etc.) were there so we are very grateful that our baby is growing healthy. However, the sex of our baby is yet to be determined. Our little one seems to be a bit shy and decided to keep its little legs crossed the whole time so we couldn't see much. The tech guessed that its a girl, but just couldn't be 100% sure. So I guess we're still at square one, it's either a boy or a girl :) thanks a lot! I'm still not getting too big, but I have grown some so I will put up some more pictures soon.

Otherwise, all is well with us. The fall here is the best because the leaves are so pretty when they change. And we are excited for the weather to cool off a little bit. Lance is doing good in school/work and everything else as always. I am finishing up our fall softball season, we look pretty good but still have a lot of work to do before our spring season. I'll put up more pictures soon, stay posted :) and to all my old friends that are lucky enough to go to the BYU alumni game this weekend say Hi for me and send my love to everyone. I miss you all so much!!!

I have finally got the courage to take pictures of my stomach, which by the way is getting fatter everyday. I would like to remember all the stages that my stomach will go through, but I have to admit I feel like an idiot trying to take pictures of myself in the bathroom mirror. But here I am at 19 weeks officially.

I am feeling much better, and usually only feel sick now in the mornings and then most days it goes away. But the most exciting news is that my ultrasound is scheduled for next Monday. We're pretty excited about it, well I am anyways. Lance wants to be surprised, but I know that won't last once we get there. And I don't really have a clue what it is, I've had a dream it's a girl but I've also had a dream it's a boy. So I guess only time will tell.

In other news, well not too much else has been going on. A couple of weeks ago we went to some dragon boat races at one of the big parks here. A bunch of local businesses were racing boats to raise money for the Children's Network. We went and checked it out, it was pretty neat to see but it was super hot that day so we didn't really stay and watch all that long. But we were there long enough for Ace to jump in the lake and try swimming. Turns out he's pretty wimpy, but it was funny to watch.

I just wanted to give a quick update about what has been going on in our lives. Ace is still getting bigger and bigger, he had to get fixed a couple of weeks ago but is finally getting back to his normal crazy self. Lance started school again, his last year of graduate school. Yeah!! Almost done with his masters, I'm so proud of him! Hopefully this year goes by fast, and it already is so I'm sure it will be over before we know it. He is still working part time at the hospital, and is learning lots about how to run a hospital. I am now 16 weeks along, and finally starting to show a little. My stomach is still not a cute round preggo belly, it still just looks like its getting fat. But I can tell a huge difference in my body, and I think I've only gained around 5 pounds total so most people still can't even tell. This week my sickness is finally getting a little better, and I am sooo happy about it. I still get nauseas from time to time, but it is no where near what it was. It got so bad, I actually had to go to the ER and see my Dr like a million times. I get my ultrasound next month, and we're getting pretty excited about it. Sometimes it still doesn't seem real, so we haven't really started preparing or buying anything, but I know it's gonna be here so fast. Maybe once we find out what it is it will be easier to actually imagine having a baby and we will be better at getting ready. Oh well, I guess we'll see :)

Creeper Trail

We have decided that we needed a new hobby. So last week we went out and bought some new bikes. Its actually been so fun just riding all over. And parking at at school is so much easier with a bike instead of a car. But we love our new bikes.

We always hear that there is so much stuff to do outside around here, so on Saturday we went and checked out the Creeper Trail, in Damacus Virginia. It took about an hour to get there, but it was well worth the drive. It up in the mountains, so it was just beautiful. It is about a 40 mile round trip bike ride, but we took the cheater (and more popular) version and took a shuttle up the mountain and just rode the 20 miles back down.

It was a really easy ride, basically all down hill. I think I only had to pedal like 6 times all 20 miles.

Also, our good friends from BYU, Jeff and Lynn, moved here a couple of weeks ago. Jeff is going to grad school out here with Lance. But they live right next door to us, so it's been fun hanging out with them a lot and exploring our hometown together. So they also went on the trail with us. It was a great time had by all.

Yes, I am finally officially announcing it...I'm Pregnant!! I'm about 13 weeks now, and due Feb. 28. I already can feel myself getting fatter, but I am trying to embrace it and enjoy eating things I haven't in a while. Lance is super excited, I have my days. I've been really sick, so it really hasn't been a great experience for me so far. Hopefully the sickness will start wearing off soon. Everyone promises me that the second trimester is "so much better" so we will see.

It is official, my home residence will no longer be in Kingwood. My family is officially moving from our home of 12 years to a place far away...Switzerland! They will be leaving for Geneva next week :(

They've been working super hard to get the house ready for sale (so if anyone is looking for a house in Kingwood...)

I'm pretty sad about them leaving the country, but we are so excited for their new adventure and since we now LOVE Europe, we are overjoyed with the fact the we will get to go visit all the time!

A few weeks ago, ok I guess like I month ago, I went on a trip with the girls in Lance's family. We went up to Ohio, and New York and got go to an Amish town, and then we went around and saw all the Church history sites. Also, the Hill Camorah pagent was going on so we got a see that too. It was a great trip, I'm so glad I finally got to see all the church sites that we only read about. It makes the scriptures come alive and helps you to really understand all that was went through to restore the church to the earth today.

I know I'm a little behind with keeping up with our life, but better late than never right :)

I'm always trying to get Lance to go running and I've found the easiest way to get him to go is to sign us up for a race. Then he at least has to come with me and do it. Something about the competition helps us run faster and faster, we hate to have people pass us. So a couple of weeks ago we ran in the Kingsport Crazy 8's race. It is the fastest 8k in the world they say, and they give out a lot of money to the people who break all the records. Unfortunately, we didn't break any records, but we had a great time running it. The race started at 9:58 pm, and it was neat because we ran through the town, and people came out and sat on their lawns to cheer us all on.

It was way fun, so if anyone wants to join us next year come on over :)

Beus's Visit

Some of Lance's family decided they wanted to see what Tennessee had to offer and decided to rent an 18 passenger van and make the very long drive out from Idaho to Tennessee. I can't believe they survived the 40+ hour drive, but they seemed to have enjoyed it and we were sure happy to actually have some visitors to our new home.

They only stayed the weekend, and then decided to go all over and see this part of the country. But while they were here we went to the Rhododendron festival at Roan Mountain State Park. The Rhododendron is a flower that only blooms like right now and then the flowers go away, and I guess at this state park hold the largest rhododendron garden in the western hemisphere. Needless to say, they have a festival every year at this time (when the flowers are at their peak bloom) and there is all kinds of music going on, and tons of little booths with all sorts of goodies, and the best junk food. So we spent the day at the festival, and here are just a few pictures from it

And I've been getting a few questions about how big our dog Ace is getting. So we finally took a picture to show that he really is getting huge. He now weighs almost 10 pounds, so he's really big to us, but everybody still thinks he's just so small. I think he's getting a complex about it now actually :)

Vacation part 2

We finally got our internet working at our house so I will be able to keep our posts more up to date :) So finally I am able to put the a few pictures from the other half our our vacation. After Costa Rica we flew to Texas for a week to spend some time with the family, it was really fun because my whole family was there and we had many events going on throughout the week to keep us very very busy!

First, we had Alivias first birthday!!! To celebrate she had a pool party, that included a small slide for her and all of her little baby friends. It was so cute and I think she loved it, even if she did have no idea it was her birthday :)

Next we had Kacies babyshower. She and Adam are expecting their first baby boy in August. I think she had a lot of fun, and got lots of gifts that I hear come in handy when you have kids.

(We both got our hair cut in Texas... Lance hates paying to get a haircut so my brother Zach said he would do....it was going well till Zach nicked his head, Lance decided he couldn't go to work with spots in his head so he decided to just shave the whole thing...the rest is clear. But the funny thing is when we got home and went to church every single person in our ward said something about it, the most common questions were "did you join the army" and "did you loose a bet?")

YEAH HALEY!!! We are SOOO proud of you and all you have accomplished!! Haley will be starting BYU this summer and we are very excited , so everyone look for her and invite her over for dinner:)

We had such a great trip, 2 weeks really seemed like 2 months but it was so fun, we are grateful everyday for all the we are able to do and see, and we can't wait for our next adventure!!
